Therapy for High-Achieving Adults in NY & NJ

Virtual therapy for anxiety, self-worth, people-pleasing, and self-abandonment, with specialized support for first- and second-generation adults.

You’re used to being the strong one. But who takes care of you?

You may be the person everyone counts on but privately, you’re exhausted from carrying so much.

  • The Overthinking: You second-guess yourself and worry about making the wrong choice.

  • The Guilt: Saying no or setting boundaries makes you feel like you're letting people down.

  • The Pressure: You’ve learned to measure your worth by how much you accomplish or how much you do for others.

  • The Self-Abandonment: You’re so focused on everyone else’s needs that you’ve lost touch with your own.

Therapist in New York and New Jersey

Hi, I’m Cassandra.

I’m a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) providing virtual therapy in New York and New Jersey for high-achieving adults who are tired of overthinking, people-pleasing, and putting everyone else first.

Many of my clients are first- or second-generation adults who learned to work hard, stay strong, and keep moving, even when it meant ignoring their own needs. You may look put-together on the outside while privately struggling with anxiety, self-doubt, boundaries, or trusting yourself.

My Approach

I look at the whole picture: your thoughts, your body, your relationships, and the family or cultural patterns that shaped how you learned to navigate the world. Together, we'll slow things down, understand what's driving your patterns, and build greater self-trust.

The Vibe

Born and raised in Harlem and second-generation Dominican, I bring a direct, observant, and down-to-earth approach to therapy. You won't have to over-explain every detail here. I pay attention to the patterns underneath what you're saying so we can focus on creating meaningful change.

If you're ready to understand yourself more deeply, stop abandoning your own needs, and respond to life with greater clarity and self-trust, it's time to break the cycle.

How does therapy work?

1) Understand the Pattern

We look at your thoughts, emotions, relationships, behaviors, and the patterns you've developed to understand what's keeping you stuck. Together, we make sense of the anxiety, people-pleasing, self-doubt, or self-abandonment showing up in your life.

2) Understand Where It Comes From

We explore the experiences, relationships, family dynamics, and cultural messages that shaped how you learned to cope. Understanding the pattern helps you stop blaming yourself for it and gives you the ability to change it.

3) Build Self-Trust & Create Change

Insight is only the beginning. We'll work on practical ways to set boundaries, respond differently, trust your decisions, and stay connected to your own needs. The goal isn't to become a different person, it's to feel more like yourself.
